Hip, hip, fricking hooray. I had a good vacation, and the four or five of you who are “regulars” (and you know who you are, because the only one I know of for sure is my brother!) should be pleased to know that I am hard at “work” on the next installment. I’m going to try to make this a little longer because I “missed” the last installment.

Pick One
That’s the punchline to an old production joke, which goes:
“Good, fast, and cheap. Pick two.”
So. I’ve already picked “cheap”. This is a labor of “love” (or, more to the point, vanity), so you get to pick this up for nothing.
That leaves quantity and quality.
I have chosen quantity. It has to do with vanity. I commit myself to very little these days, but it’s a point of honor to update the comic once a week. Even if it’s one stinking frame.
So. What’s all this about? Jealousy. visit this link and you’ll understand why.
There are so many people out there that are producing really, really good stuff. And then there’s me (*grin*).
Ah, well, at least I know where my talents lie…

I usually weasel out of an update when I visit family, but I surprised myself by squeezing out a short update this week. I would have had a Shield of Creation update, but I left the first two panels on my sister-in-law’s computer.
So. With any luck, you’ll get an SoC update later on this week.
UPDATE: SoC
In the meantime, I have some filler “art” up for the Shield of Creation storyline.

I know some of you have been following the Shield of Creation storyline. O.K., actually, from what Google Analytics tells me, most of you who visit the site have been following the Shield of Creation storyline.
Let me tell you a dirty little secret: I’ve learned more about my own universe in that “side story” than the main story.
Open offer to Mike Terracciano: if you want to suggest a direction for Shield of Creation to take, especially for your universe, please do so. I might not take it (I’ve warned people SoC ain’t cannon, after all), but I’ll certainly try to incorporate the idea into what I’m doing.
Likewise, if would like to borrow one of my characters or a character concept into your universe, I hereby give formal permission. My only restriction is that whatever you do, I want a reference. Why do this? Licensing. I offer my work under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 US License. Mookie’s just trying to earn a living, so if my characters show up in one of his books, the only thing I want is a reference. But I’m hoping he’ll Bring Teh Funny too.
Yes. It’s vanity. Isn’t everything? Break a leg, Mookster.
