There is a very nice lady on deviant art who has come up with a CG piece that expresses the essence of what Singularity Blues is all about. I’m not quite sure how she’s going to take being linked to from a site promoting godless secularism, but I will comply with that takedown notice if I get it.

Yes, my Shield of Creation arc is “finished”. If the time stamp can be believed, I started this on December 7, 2006, so I finished this up one month shy of two years ago.

No, there will be no Singularity Blues update this week. NEXT WEEK GUARANTEED!

This brings this phase of the Shield of Creation story to a close, but it raises many more questions than it answers:

• Who is the Receptionist?
• Who is Pilot? What is Pilot? What happened to him?
• How can Dominic take that little gizmo back with him? Didn’t John tell him that matter from his universe was incompatible with the Oracle for Hire universe?
• Who are those dudes at the very end?
• What in the hell actually happened at the end? What was that all about?
• What is the Shield?  Where did it come from?
  
• And what about Naomi?!?

Yes, these and other questions will have to wait until I get pummeled to restart this side story. That’s all this damn thing was until it took on a life of it’s own. Remember, kids, I do this for my own enjoyment: writing fan-fiction isn’t my reason for existance.

But we come to the logical “end” of Shield of Creation.  I say the logical end because it’s now all over–except for the shouting.

But I feel like I edited too much: it’s supposed to be a little mysterious, but you should be able to piece together the fact that Dominic did something.  Let me know if it’s more cryptic than usual…
