Holiday Treat
Horror is the thing that cannot be made safe. From the Believers’ perspective, atheists make life horrible because they make life unsafe. Which is to say, your beliefs are a lie, there is no afterlife, and this life is the only one you’re going to get.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed this or not, but we are not the good news people. The above message is a terrible one to base a cult on–which should be of some comfort to those who are afraid that their kids, or their parents, or friends, or spouses are part of some atheist “cult”.
We’re not “selling” anything except a world view based in fact. Yeah, the “new atheists” make a good living with their book deals and their speaking arrangements. Their only real message is “use your heads, people!”.
And that would make all of us very, very unsafe. Happy Halloween, everybody.

Or something like that. I’ve fixed the RSS feed on the home page so it points to my Live Journal rather than the old “manual” feed.
It will be useful for the six, or five, or two of you that actually use the damn thing. But that’s not important (well, not terribly important, anyway). What’s important is “the journey”. I’ve already figured that this is never going to make me any money, but at least I’ve taught myself how to make the damn website functional.
I just love you guys too much, that’s all

Those sharp of wit and tongue will notice that for that last three days I’ve been mis-spelling penultimate. Not a peep. Not a whimper. Not a groan! And not just on the chapter card, but on the front page, for all to see!
Oh the Horror! Oh, the Humanity!
I’m very, very disapointed with all of you! What if I had left it up like that for two whole weeks! Western Civilization may have come apart.

I’m going to be out of town next week, so no updates for two weeks. In addition, there is no Singularity Blues update this week, but a big-arsed Shield of Creation update. I’m motivated to get SoC out of the road so I can show my main comic some love.
Even though the side comic gets just as much love from you guys as the main one. Am I shooting myself in the foot?
